Lekker Stuff CBD Rescue Mask

Lekker Stuff’s CBD clay mask is infused with 600 mg of CBD per 50 mL. It is advertised to have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and rejuvenate your skin, fight free radical damage and soothe inflamed skin. A blend of sweet almond oil, rosehip oil, coffee bean oil, baobab oil, Vitamin E and other ingredients, this clay mask lightly exfoliates the skin, extracts impurities and balances the skin’s sebum levels.

This mask has a slightly oily, minty scent. When I first applied it to my face, it made my skin very shiny and smooth with oil. I left the mask on overnight, hoping for my skin to absorb the oils while I sleep. The next morning, I was surprised to find my face still quite shiny and oily from the mask.

That said, once I washed it off, my skin did feel soft and clean. I recommend this mask for people who want to balance their skin’s sebum levels and want the CBD to combat inflamed skin, rather than for those who want to hydrate their skin.

Winter is approaching, and the humidity is starting to decrease (as much as it can decrease in Hong Kong, which is barely). Hydrate and soothe your skin with Japanese brand Saiph’s CBD hand and body moisturiser, Tranquility. The lotion contains aloe and hyaluronic acid along with an uplifting fragrance of chamomile, bergamot mint and geranium. Each 350 mL bottle contains 700 mg of CBD, which equates to 2 mg per mL of lotion. 

I normally don’t really moisturise routinely like I should, but I have started doing so with Saiph’s Tranquility lotion. The soothing scent and silky texture delight my senses, and the lotion gets absorbed quickly without leaving my skin feeling sticky or slimy at all. I like to use the lotion after showering before sleeping, and I find that it does seem to help me sleep better!

I tried this CBD water while I was relaxing by the pool in the morning. I figured it would help combat my morning grouchiness and help me ease into my day. However, after taking my excited first sip, my palette was hit with a pang of plasticky bitter flavour.
