Hong Kong is filled with excellent dining choices for your every day meals but finding the right place to host that intimate event can be a daunting task. Not to worry, private kitchens might be the answer! Although the meals don’t come cheap, the experience is definitely worth the price.

Private kitchen dining is an intimate way to enjoy a delicious meal in a place that might just feel like a home away from home. Below, see the the best hidden private kitchens with noteworthy angles that make their dining experience unique!

KTCHN

Looking for a homey, private kitchen to bring people together and connect them through delicious food? KTCHN may be the answer you’re looking for.

Using only the freshest local ingredients, KTCHN keeps its menu ever-changing by creating dishes in a way that brings out the essence of each season’s delicacies. This allows room to reimagine classical dishes such as vongole with local clams and bottarga, their signature duck breast with beetroot sauce, and whole roasted turbot.

You can bring together 8 to 10 friends around a long table facing the open kitchen with a beautiful sea view—this gives guests the ability to fully immerse themselves in the kitchen while having intimate interactions with the chef. You are guaranteed to feel right at home and like a part of KTCHN’s extended family by the end of the experience! Bookings are made only through their IG page, and the location of the kitchen will only be disclosed on the day.

Pomegranate Kitchen

Known for their personalised service and ability to fully customise every aspect of the experience for guests, Pomegranate Kitchen can cater each event to match your mood. Lebanese chef Maria Bizri started Pomegranate Kitchen by catering from home, but it wasn’t long until she decided to take the next step and find a commercial space to work out of.

Upon finding the perfect venue at 4B, Bizri devoted everything she had to Pomegranate. Bizri’s dishes are made with much more purpose than to just taste good; each one is curated to give customers a warm experience like no other.

An item that has been on the menu since 2011 is their crowd favourite slow-cooked harissa lamb. Also try out their chorizo, Roma tomato mussels, and green tahini sea bass—they are to die for!

Segreto by Ermanno Lelli

Best known for its secret family recipes, Segreto by Ermanno Lelli serves authentic Italian dishes that resemble what one would have in a traditional Italian restaurant. Every single dish is curated by research, history, and trial and error. Their Bolognese sauce's recipe dates back to the 1930s, and their tiramisu follows one of the first-ever recipes created back in the 1950s—these two examples are just a glimpse into what uniqueness Segreto brings to the table! Lelli’s long list of credentials explains why his loyal customers, and even celebrities, come back for more! If you visit, make sure you try the eggplant parmigiana, carbonara, and tiramisu!

Ta Pantry

Backed by her history at Amber HK and the two-Michelin starred Relais Louis XIII in Paris, Esther Sham built Ta Pantry that makes food with the focus on touching customers' hearts in a comfortable environment that keeps everyone wanting more!

Each dish is rooted in years of tradition with special twists that keep guests on their toes. Sham, the head chef, has perfected her own style of cooking over the years by working under various renowned chefs and highly regarded restaurants around the globe.

Each set menu is a unique experience that brings consumers right to the heart of where the food comes from—be sure to try out the melting onion duck, wagyu beef cheek satay ragout bucatini, and the foie gras Shanghai wontons.
