The Ambience
When I walked into Champion Building in Jordan, scanned through the metallic directory for Dr. Jolie Beaute, and saw the name perched between those of other reputed doctors in the city, I felt an overwhelming sense of confidence in the hands I was soon to be in.
Once I reached the twelfth floor and made my way through the narrow hallway to the clinic, I was greeted by the warm smile of my aesthetician who was awaiting my visit. With only one treatment room where the magic of beauty transformation happens, the clinic was a lot smaller than I had expected, but the silver lining was that I had the aesthetician’s undivided attention.
The light-hued treatment room was simple yet well-maintained and boasted state-of-the-art technology—such as Helios III and Lumenis M22—proving that size is no deterrent to great service. The mellow tunes playing in the background were definitely calming and quickly put me in the mood to get pampered.
The Treatment
Dr. Jolie Beaute’s Fabulous Facial is an hour-long indulgence complete with restorative masks and soothing massages that will leave you wanting more.
Before the facial, the aesthetician sat me down, handed me a mirror, and asked me to take a good look at my face to see if there are any specific issues I’d like to work on. We had a little chat about my long history with eczema, acne, and hyperpigmentation before I explained to her that, as a first step, I’d like my comedones removed and my skin brightened. With an enthusiastic smile, she immediately got to work.
After cleansing my face, she pulled out a comedone extractor and had a go at all my blackheads and whiteheads. As I winced, the aesthetician reassured me that the pain will be all worth it in the end, and it certainly was! Next, she plucked out the stray hairs from my eyebrows and shaped them to look like identical twins.
My skin was then fed a toning lotion that had a cooling effect and was gently massaged in a circular motion to aid the absorption of the essential nutrients and increase blood flow. This relaxing massage was followed by the application of a skin brightening face and eye mask, which my eager skin quenched for 15 minutes. When the aesthetician returned, my skin was massaged again and cleansed before being treated with a lightweight moisturizer containing SPF as the final touch.

The Verdict
