Speaker: Sarah Kalmeta, founder of Aveita and Pivot Point
Sarah is a coach and wellness practitioner ready to help you build resilience, cultivate awareness and breathe authenticity. Having worked hard, and played harder, for 15 years in the corporate world with VVIPs, Sarah understands the hidden dangers of high performance and the impact it has on peoples’ lives, both personally and professionally. It is now Sarah's mission to help others reframe and vocalise their individual expression through 1-1 coaching sessions, online programs and wellness practices, such as meditation, Reiki and Yoga.
Speaker: Abby Cadman, owner and director of Relish and Gingers
Abby moved to Hong Kong 4 years ago with her husband and was determined to ‘make it’ in F&B here. Abby worked for Relish and later acquired the company in 2019. The opportunity also came to take over Gingers earlier this year, so she now operates both companies independently of each other and is able to cater to different clients needs. During the past 2 years, the hospitality industry was crippled by widespread protests in Hong Kong, followed immediately by COVID, but Relish and Gingers were one of the few companies that have stayed above water and survived through swift action in acclimatising to the ever changing environment.
Speaker: Michelle Chen, founder of RARE SkinFuel
Michelle is a Taiwanese-American entrepreneur who believes in the power of skincare as an empowerment tool that encourages women to “reveal, not conceal”—her Australian-made cold-pressed clean beauty brand, RARE SkinFuel, is a testimonial of just that. Launched in October 2019, her skincare empire has since expanded to The Landmark with a spa and retail store, and most recently the launch of its Bare Rituals at Rosewood Hong Kong’s Asaya.
Speaker: Cici Zhang, co-founder of Black Coral xo
Born in Asia but raised in Australia, Cici comes from a fashion background and worked as a designer for 5 years before starting her own resortwear brand with her childhood best friend Christine Wang. Now with a flagship on Hollywood Road, Black Coral is the one-stop shop for affordable fashion that helps women feel confident while looking fabulous.
Speaker: Dominique Backhouse, founder of Companion Communications
Originally from Hong Kong, Dominique has spent the last 13 years working in communications in Asia-Pacific and Greater China both in-house and agency-side. In her most recent role, Dominique led the strategy for hospitality brand COMO Group in the Asia-Pacific and Greater China region.
Dominique launched Companion Communications, a senior-led communications consultancy headquartered out of HK and Singapore, in summer 2019. Companion focuses on culture, travel, hospitality and foodie industries across comms silos that include PR, brand building, content creation, collaborations & partnerships and social media.
